We love 3 day weekends! Who doesn't??
The problem is when you have too much to do EVERY weekend!
I was just complaining to my husband about how I am so tired every Sunday night/Monday morning and feel like I get nothing done on the weekends!
He had no sympathy for me. He says I do it to myself because I try to pack too much into the weekend. (And it's really just Saturday since Sunday is the sabbath day so we don't go out or do much at all)!
We get invited to birthday parties or family functions and I love being surrounded by friends and family. Sometimes I have to negotiate with Steve on what he can go to and when he can stay home and do things that need to be done around the house.
This past weekend, we had a birthday party to go to and Steve wanted to work on the deck. I wanted him to spend the day with us AND go to the party in the evening. We compromised by agreeing that he would spend Saturday with us if he could have ALL day Monday to work on the deck. Fair enough.
We had a good day with Abbey and Matthew. We all snuggled in bed for a little bit then we went to have Matthew's 3 month pictures taken. Then we went to the birthday party and my husband was a trooper. He's not always jumping up for joy at our family gatherings because he can't really eat the food and understand the conversation, but he goes because he loves me (and sometimes my family).
On Monday, he pratically pushed us out the door so he could start his day. I dropped Matthew off at my mom's and took Abbey to see Kung Fu Panda 2. Very cute movie. Can't wait for the 3rd one.
Overall it was a great weekend, but I'm still tired!
And I'll probably STILL plan full weekends!

Sounds exhausting, but fun! Love the pics!
I feel the same way about weekends, so much to do and never enough time! And even 3 day weekends arent enough, I'm noticing! LOL Well that is nice that you can negotiate with hubs, everyone gets what they want in the end, with a little compromise.
I love all the pics you posted, it's so fun to get to "know" your family via your blog. Thank you for sharing with us. xoxoxoxox
I always pack too much into our schedule too, so I know how you feel! I'm the opposite though; I've been packing too much into our weeks and then on the weekends I should be catching up on laundry and cleaning, but I'm always exhausted. This past weekend we found a good balance between me getting stuff done inside, Scott getting stuff done outside and doing fun family things together. I'll tell you that it really only gets worse from here b/c soon Matthew will have little friends and you'll have even more activities to do with him!!
Speaking of Matthew, he's getting so big and is super duper cute. I love seeing other babies grow in bloggy land and comparing what they're up to with what Bristol is doing these days!!
