Matthew's first Christmas was special because we got to spend it together as a family. We did not spoil him with tons of gifts. We just bought him a few small things.
He was NOT interested in opening gifts at all!
In my head, I was going to go all out and make it super grand by stuffing his stocking, making lots of treats, doing tons of crafts (from pinterest of course) and starting all sorts of tradition.
But, it was ALL in my head because I did not have time to do ANY of it.
Any you know what? It was still a perfect Christmas with our little family.

I'm glad it was a great Christmas for you guys! I love the new blog header - did you do it yourself? It is so cute!
you are going to love that lens!!!! I have that one and use it all the time! I think K was more excited about the wrapping paper and boxes then the gift itself hehe
Oh how lovely! I see you got a new lens for your camera! Fabulous! I love the monkey - so darn cute! Praise God for your first family Christmas, what a wonderful way to celebrate, by just being together. xoxoxox
Looks like you had a great Christmas! That first Christmas is amazing!!
I love the Christmas pictures!
Your family is so sweet :)
Awe so cute! So glad you had a great first Christmas with your family! =)
Always knew we were very alike...this post seals the deal on that thought. I got the very same camera lens for Christmas too!!! :)
And as for all of the "thoughts in our heads" about what we're going to do for Christmas...get used to it and don't let it bother you when it doesn't get done. Every year I envision doing one billion times more than what I do. It's like the saying "your eyes are bigger than your stomach" when you fill a plate w/ too much food....my mind can't grasp that days in December are still only 24 short hours!
Funny how that happens...Christmsa being perfect anyways.
So, OK...you're going to have to post about how to use your lens. I got a gift card for Christmas and bought the same 50mm lens, for my nikon. I feel like I have no idea what to do with it.
