My New Hobby

Isn't she BEAUTIFUL??

I haven't the slightest idea how to use it yet, but I'm hoping to learn.
This is going to be my new hobby!  I am so excited I even created a photography blog;

If you have any experience in photography or know of any blogs/websites that would be good resource, please let me know.  I need all the help I can get! (There are no classes offered in my area so I have to learn on my own and with the help of friends).

I will not be taking it on vacation with me since I don't know how to use it yet.  And it's way too expensive to take on vacation because I can't risk something happening to it!

See what everyone else is showing and telling over at Mel's.

How very exciting! At least it is a digital camera, so you don't have to worry about wasting film learning how to use it. You're going to have a blast. :)

I have a camera just like this! I got it for christmas and STILL don't know what to do with it! I wanted it so bad to take pics of my kids, I haven't had the time to sit down and learn about it!!
Maybe one day!

How fun! I've always wanted a nice fancy camera. I love Canon! If you have not already heard of her, you should check out Ree at http://thepioneerwoman.com. She is famous for her recipes, but her blog also includes photography and homeschooling.

Squeeee! Oh I'm so jealous! Have so much fun learning how to use it. I have lots of "photography" blogs that I follow: photos by Emilie is one and she offers classes and has a book even I think... mooshinindy.com is an amazing photographer too.

I know some about photography (well as much as a couple high school photography classes can teach you), but my pictures are usually not as stunning as I want them to be. I have a few that make me proud though! I love taking pictures!

WOW! that's an awesome camera! I don't know much, but I'm learning. Google pioneer woman... she is mostly known for her amazing recipes, but she has a section about photography that is amazing.

wahoo!!! I'm excited for you! I'm a NikonGirl, but nonetheless, love of photography is all the same! Congrats and don't be scared to use it! It took me a couple of months to just 'go for it' and when I did, it was AMAZING! P.S. that amazing moment I'm talking about was WHILE I was on vacation. I felt like a total tourist w/ a huge camera hanging from my neck, but it was sooooo worth it. I got great shots in Vegas!!

Nice!! I highly recommend the class, a class, any class. I took on at one of our local camera shops and it made a world of difference. There are still things I'm struggling with but I'm a lot better, I think anyway.

The best class you could take is the owner's manual. :)
