Two on the Bottom

Matthew has not been very happy lately.  His bottom two teeth are coming through.  There were a few days last week where he was just absolutely misreable!  It's so hard to see your baby in pain and there's nothing you can do about it (I'm sure there will be many more of those days in the future).  We were able to put a little baby orajel on it and I think that helped a little.  I can't imagine what it will be like when his molars come in?!

Thank you to those who voted for Matthew on FB.  He keeps getting bumped from 5th, then 6th and now back down to 7th!  Please keep voting for him daily and post on your FB wall after you vote.

Every vote counts!! Please click HERE to vote for Matthew! In the upper right side of the picture, there will be a button that says 'VOTE'. After you vote it will change to 'I VOTED'. You can vote once a day (24 hrs from the last time you voted). You don't have to be friends with me on FB to vote.

THANK YOU!!

Molars aren't too bad. Eye teeth are the worst. Take a washcloth and wet it a little, then put it in the freezer. The cold and crunchy will feel good on his gums, and it's not a choking hazard. This, too, shall pass.

I was just thinking the other day how hard the teething phase is going to be. I once had an abscessed tooth and was so miserable. I imagine that's what teething feels like all over! Poor baby.

I remember thinking that it was/is awfully cruel of God to make babies have so much pain from their teeth coming in. Hope he's feeling better soon.

Even though teething is miserable, it always gives me comfort to know that there's a reason why she's upset. There have been several times that I've worried about her, unable to tell what was wrong when she's grumpy. A few days later I'll notice that a new tooth is breaking through and it's like "Ah! That was it!" and I feel better. We give her Tylenol and it seems to help a lot. Good luck!!

Oh man. I know the teething phase can be a challenge, but at least he's a total doll!

He's so cute!! GV did really well when it came to teething. Most times I didn't even know it was happening. Hope it passes quickly!

Happy New Year!

Did you give him any acetaminophen? It has helped Bristol. She just got her bottom two teeth in December and I'm suspecting the top ones are going to be popping through soon after how cranky she's been today! Also I put ice cubes into those net things meant for food. Do you know what I'm talking about? They're munchkin brand and are at Target or Babies R Us. They are net with a handle for baby to hold onto and you can put any fruit or veg for them to chew on inside so that they get the flavor and juice without choking on a big bite.

Awww Poor little guy. My grandson just got his 4 front teeth, two top, two bottom, and he had an awful time with them. Tylenol and a cold teething ring are your best bets.

I voted for Matthew in the contest, what a cute picture!
