It's Okay!

Work has been super busy and stressing me out.

I haven't had any time to catch up on goo.gle reader and I think it's about to explode!  I miss reading about everyone's lives.  The fact that I haven't had time to catch up on my blog reading has stressed me out.  I don't know how some of you lovely ladies (and gentlemen - I have one male follower) have time to keep up with all the blogs AND your own postings!  What's your trick?  It can almost be a full-time job!

Then I started thinking...blogging is about capturing life's moments and sharing it with friends.  It should NOT add stress to my life!

It's okay if I can't post every day (or every other day).

It's okay if I can't read every post in my goo.gle reader account.  It'll still be there tomorrow (and the day after, and the day after that).

It's okay if I don't comment on every post I do read (although I try).  Sometimes I just have a minute to check in on someone's blog, but that doesn't mean I have to make a comment on every one.  (Again, blogging is about capturing memories, not comments).

It's okay to want to spend time with my husband or my Abbey instead of blogging.  We all need some quality time together.  Family should be the priority.  (Although God is actually at the top of the list, followd by family).

Thank you all for sticking with me through Life (as it Happens).  I appreciate you taking the time out of your busy day to read about happenings in my life.  I am grateful for all the prayers that have been said on our behalf.  I count them as blessings every day!

It got to be the same way with me recently. I got kind of burned out on blogging because it was getting too hard to read and comment on all of the blogs I followed as well as update both of mine. It got to the point where I just couldn't do it. I needed to take a break. I personally haven't posted since Monday on either blog. I've caught up on all of the ones I read over the past few days, but I have also given myself the grace to back off and not feel obligated to blog if I'm not in the mood.

We just need to find that balance. I am right there with you on this one. Blogging should be fun and at the very least, an outlet. It should not be an obligation or anything that causes us stress.

Let's you and I vow to not feel obligated anymore. We'll do blogging when we can and when we feel like it, and we won't feel bad if we fall behind or don't comment. Deal?

Oh yes do not let blogging stress you out. God and Family definitely are most important. A Good Stress Relief for me is blogging so I always make a little time when the girls are preoccupied or hubby isn't home :)

I love reading about what you share no matter how frequently, or infrequently you post. You're right, blogging should be an outlet to get stress out. It shouldn't cause stress!
Have a great weekend!!!

I love reading your stuff. I'm really bad at commenting these days but just know I'm always reading. :)

I totally get where you're coming from! I have been 'lost' for a couple weeks, and I feel awful for not commenting, but I still think of all of yous, so it is ok! xo

It can be really hard to stay up with blogging and commenting! I relate to many of your comments. But, we just gotta do the best we can!

Yeah, I have to find a good balance too. I really enjoy the blogging, but you're right, it can't dictate our lives our take away from our family time.

Thanks for that reminder!

Yup, can totally relate! I've been spending the last couple of just just trying to "catch up" with all the postings. Still working on catching up. It's hard when I have almost 100 blogs I follow. I'm considering downsizing!

I have this problem too! (hence why I am responding so late :)) Definitely give yourself freedom...you don't have to post, comment, or read everything everyday. I'm working on this :)
