We had a fun 4th of July weekend.
Grandma Whitcomb came over to play with Matthew Saturday afternoon.
Then we had the rest of Steve's family and some friends over for a cookout on our new deck (thanks to hardworking husband and FIL and friend Ian, for the sweat equity they put into the 16x20 deck)!
On Monday, we went to my sister's to celebrate with my family.
I made the strawberry dessert and cake pops to share (thanks again to hard working husband for his patience in helping me with the cake pops!)
It was very hot and humid out and Matthew is like his momma, he doesn't do well in the heat. But he's also like his daddy, he's not much for socializing. As soon as we got there, he went into melt down mode. He didn't want to be outside in the heat and didn't want ANYONE to hold him except mommy or daddy (not even grandma!).
We love three day weekends! It's fun to spend time with family and friends.

Cake pops are yum...but I made them once and never again. They take way TOO long!!!! Glad you enjoyed the 4th. Wish we could have been there. :(
Those cake pops look delicious! I've been wanting to make some, but I'm a little intimidated/nervous to try it out.
