Since he started rolling over, Matthew has been sleeping on his belly.
Even when we put him on his back, he ends up face down.
Here he is in his pack and play.
He makes me nervous when he sleeps with his face down like that.
I'm always checking to make sure he's breathing under there.
Sometimes I will turn his head to the side so I know he can breath.
And at night, when we put him in his crib, I crank up the baby monitor so I can actually hear him breathing.
Even when he sleeps he is a cutie!
Although he is only in the next room, I still miss him terribly when he's sleeping!!
Wish I could crawl in his crib and snuggle next to him (but I exceed the weight limit by about a TON!)

My little guy was the same way. Totally agree it's scary for a little while. You'll get used to it soon enough and know that he can breathe just fine. He is cute when he's sleeping too!!

How adorable! I have a habit of watching my little sleep--- I love it, they look so peacful.

Oliver sleeps the same way!! Though if he gets frustrated and can't turn over (facing up!) then it's screams and tears and we have to go to the rescue!
I know how you feel about having Mathew sleeping in the next room. Ethan's crib is in our room...I just can't bear having him so far away. Yes, I'm THAT mother...I love to hear the sounds that Ethan makes when his is asleep...at times, I hear him calling for me, daddy or Sa Sa! Trying to savor every moments...his waking moments as well as his sleeping moments :~)
What a big boy! Before you know it, he'll be walking and getting into all sorts of trouble. :)

So sweet! Love watching your little guy grow. Like pp said, it will fly by so enjoy these precious moments. I just put Mason on the bus for first grade on Monday!!!!
