Weekend Round UP

I love long holiday weekends.  Saturday morning was spent at the hair salon getting my hair highlighted (which turned out way too blond so she had to tone it down).  Then I had to rush home to make cupcakes for my cousin's son's 1st bday party.  It was a long day, but a fun day.

Birthday boy Ethan!

Here are the cupcakes I made.

Me and my sister (yeah, she got the skinny genes AND the fertile genes)

Steve and Abbey in the front yard with the slip and slide on Memorial Day.

The weather was perfect for splashing in the water.

We also took Abbey to see Shr.ek in 3D.  (I can't believe how expensive a 3D movie is!) It was a cute movie and we had a great time.  When we took Abbey home, she was crying and didn't want us to leave (which has become a recurring thing lately).  She eventually calmed down and we were able to leave, promising that we would come back and pick her up again on Friday.

I am grateful for all the men and women who have fault so bravely so that I can have the freedoms from living in such a great country.  Thank you to all who serve in our military!

I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend!

3D movies are outrageous and totally not worth the price of the ticket. The only exception was Avatar. I definitely don't think the cartoon ones are worth it because I forget to notice they are in 3D after the first 10 minutes.

Your cupcakes turned out so cute! I am glad you had such a great weekend. :)
