When Your Husband Makes You Cry...

then tries to make up for it with this...

Let me explain...

Tuesday night when Steve had to give me my nightly dosage of bra.velle and me.nopur, he decided that he would add more of the water solution to the mixture to see if that would lessen the burn.  I thought it would dilute the medicine, but he assures me it doesn't.  Anyways, I have my nightly tantrum of 'wait, I'm not ready yet' and finally I grab a pillow and hold on to dear life and gave him the green light to proceed.

I feel the little prick of the needle entering my belly, then I feel the medicine BURNING like crazy as it goes in.  It felt like it took forever for the medicine to go in (probably because of the extra water).  I start screaming and then the tears start flowing, and I start bawling into my pillow. (Maybe it was the hormones or maybe I'm just a big baby).

Meanwhile, Steve is there gently keeping pressure on the injection area. When I remove the pillow and look at him, he's sitting there smiling, trying to hold his LAUGHTER in!  Can you believe that?!  I wanted to punch him.  He kept saying he was sorry (with a grin on his face).

I don't know if it was the extra water or the area in which he injected me (under the belly button), but I told him that he is not allowed to add any additional water AND he's not allowed to inject me in that area anymore.

The US/BW yesterday was fine.  They were able to get blood from my arm (after many attempts).  My  lining is good, the follies are growing on each side.  Estrogen level is a little low so the doctor increased the bra.velle dosage.  Back tomorrow for the same drill.

So last night Steve had an appointment with some folks and when he returned home, he bought me a So.nic Blast to make up for pain he caused me and for laughing at me. He still can't say sorry about it without a straight face though.

(Just so you don't think my hubby is heartless, I know that deep down inside, he really doesn't like to inflict pain on me like that.  We both know that this isn't an easy journey, but we both have faith in it.)

I bet your husband really did feel bad. He probably hates the fact that he has to hurt you each night.

I know it's not nice to laugh at someone else, but you shared the story right?? Anyway, thanks for the chuckle. The scenario seems all too familiar.

A cute treat like that can go along way :) We have to find little things to help us through this stuff! I'm glad things are looking good for you and hope this cycle is the one!

aww honey...
It's probably just the hormones.
Just think of babies and belly bumps when you feel the burn!

Sending you all my love!

You sound like me! I always breath really hard and then keep saying "Wait...wait" Fortunately my injections never hurt that much though =( I'm sorry they're so painful. Sounds like the cycle is going well!! Come on follies!! Grow big and strong!

Oh my goodness Hannah. I never had to go through that, which makes me want to hug you. You are such a brave girl. I pray that this is your cycle. Please let it be your cycle!

Good for Steve for the shake. I hope it helped.

*big hugs*
