Real boys wear Pink!

Who says pink is just for girls?
I love boys/men in pink shirts.
(Remember the Friend's episode where Ross has a 'salmon' color shirt?!)

And this little cutie is rocking his pink shirt.

Some updates lately on my little toddler:

He is learning a lot from school (colors and numbers).  His favorite color is blue.

He is talking more and it's getting harder to try and decipher what he is saying sometimes.
I love when he says nu-nu (noodles) and awfle (waffle). And my favorite is still chocket (chocolate).

When he gets up in the morning, he knocks on his door to get our attention.  (He can reach the door handle, but can't grip it to turn the door knob, yet).

Matthew is in the phase where everything is 'mine' and he doesn't want to share with anyone!  (How do you teach them to share?!!)
And he has started 'hitting' us so he has done his time in time out (it's only for like a minute or two).

The other night, we were all laying in bed together and out of the blue, he pointed to the ceiling and said 'temple'.  It was one of those moments that made me wonder what goes on in his little 2 yr old mind.  And what he actually see's. Those little one's have such a special spirit.

My little guy is 25 months and amazes us everyday with how much he is learning and growing!
Being his mama has been the greatest calling.  :)

Spring!

I love all the art work Matthew brings home from preschool.  I would love to save it all, but seeing how this is just preschool, I may have quite the collection by time he graduates from highschool!

This is Matthew's Spring Collection of bowties.
He will be quite the little dapper dude!
Here he is sprorting his green bowtie for St. Patricks day.
I just want to eat him up!

And this is the extent of our Easter decorations around here.  It seems like Easter is so early this year!
Matthew is still obsessed with painting. And his favorite colors are always blue and yellow, but I had to add a little pink in to make it more festive.
(confession:  we just took down our christmas lights from outside and I still have a decorative pumpkin up in the kitchen bc I can't reach it to get it down and getting a chair to stand on just seems like too much work so for the mean time, the pumpkin will stay put).

Happy Spring!!

Insta Happenings

Matthew's first time at Chuc E Cheese!
He loved the sensory overload. :)

We started Water Babies at the local indoor pool.  My little guy is certainly a water baby!  He is loving it and we will probably take the same class again before he moves up to the next level.  (maybe I can learn to swim too!)

Poor little thing has missed three days of school this week due to a fever.  I think his molars may be coming in.  All he wanted to do was put his hand in his mouth.  And he has some stinky breath (even though we brush his teeth twice a day!).  I'm told by my dental hygenist that this is normal when they are teething.  He went back to school this morning and I can't wait to pick him up later so I can love on him!

Sometimes he insist on wearing his hat and coat around the house.  Or put his socks and shoes on with his PJ's too.  Such a silly kid.

And last, but not least, we were able to have a date night over the weekend.  We try to do it once a  month if we can.  It's nice to be able to just spend time together and have adult conversation (although we almost always talk about Matthew).  Love my baby daddy!

**instagram makes it way too easy to slack on blogging.  Don't you agree??!!

Snow Fun!

We got our first big snow storm of the year.
And we stocked up on milk and bread, like everyone else. ha!
The snow was so pretty.  It was a whopping 9" of snow.

This was the first time Matthew really got to play in it (with no gloves on!)
He had a blast helping daddy shovel the drive way.  We tried to build a snowman, but that didn't work out.  Then we came in and had hot chocolate.  Yummy!

Now I'm ready for Spring!

Little Mr. GQ

If there was a baby GQ magazine, I think this little fella could be on the cover...

Look at how suave he looks with his hand in his pocket while flirting with little Ms. Anna.

Could he be any cuter??!!
(yeah, I know I'm a little biased)
