We had the opportunity to attend the temple on Friday for a wedding. It's been a very loooong time since we've been able to make it back to the temple since Matthew was born. I was so excited to go and be spiritually renewed. My heart was heavy and I was seeking answers.
One of the things we have been praying about is whether or not we should try and sale our house again. (We listed last summer and didn't have any luck).
I also prayed to accept whatever it is the Lord needed us to do and wherever we needed to be.
I was not feeling any promptings as to what it is we were to do. But I knew what I wanted to do.
My wonderful husband was the one that received the answer to our prayers. He felt strongly that it wasn't time for our family to move yet. That our work here isn't complete yet.
This is where I'm ashamed to admit that I was SO upset by the answer he received. I cried and was in denial because it wasn't the answer I wanted. I was trying to come up with every excuse I could as to why we needed to move.
I finally realized that I needed to have faith.
I needed to seek forgiveness for my bad attitude.
I needed to be grateful.
I know that God has a plan for me and my family. His plan is much better than my plan.
I need to trust in his timing.
Sometimes we get caught up in what we want that we lose sight of what God wants for us.
I am grateful to be humbled and to know that my Heavenly Father loves me and only wants the best for me and my family.
Truly grateful.
