L.O.L

Last night was the first time I got Matthew to really Laugh Out Loud!
I was sitting on the couch with him on my knees and I started to fake laugh and he busted out in giggles.
It was the cutest baby giggles ever!

Here he is sitting in his baby bum.bo watching daddy scrub our new deck.

Cousin lovin with Abbey.

Happy Birthday Daddy-O!!

Yesterday was Steve's 33rd birthday.

Happy Birthday to the best husband and greatest daddy!

One year older and (possibly) wiser too!

We love you!!
I thought it would be cute to compare Steve and Matthew at 3 months.
Unfortunately, I don't have any baby pictures of myself to compare to Matthew.
(I think Matthew looks more like his momma. He's got momma's round face!)

I am having major issues with blogger comments.  It keeps asking me to log in to post comments over and over.  I finally logged in and unchecked the 'keep me log in' and I think that did the trick.  So frustrated with blogger lately!  Now I know why people switch to word press!

A First Father's Day

A very proud daddy.
A wonderful husband.

I love the handsome boys in my life.
They bring me so much joy and laughter!

And while I wanted to make it a BIG weekend for Steve, it was a very simple weekend.
We were just too tired.
And he was okay with that (because he's a simple man).
That's why I love him.

I made his favorite dinner and dessert....
Sausage stromboli
and
Strawberry squares.
YUMMY!

Steve seemed to enjoy it all.
Especially spending time with this little handsome baby.

We love you daddy-O!
Happy Father's day.

Matthew is 4 Months Old

Oh my little pumpkin!
You are 4 months old today.

You are chunking up and mommy loves all your baby rolls! I love kissing those chunky thighs!
You weigh 14 lbs 11 oz and 24 1/4 inches long.
You are drinking about 4 ounces a feeding.

You are sleeping through the night for 7 -8 hrs straight! What a blessing!
You have discovered your hands and will suck on them as soon as you wake up because you are SO hungry.

You JUST started to roll over!
It's been fun watching you reach that milestone.  You would turn on your side and we could see the determination in your eyes to push yourself a little further!

You are sleeping on your belly.  We put you in your crib on your back and find you in the morning on your belly (just like daddy)!

Your eye color is slowly changing from hazel to brown. Mommy wishes they would stay hazel like daddy's eyes.

Your smile still melts mommy's heart!
Daddy can get you to smile everytime he talks to you.

I love this picture of you because your hair makes you look like baby Wolverine!

Your hair is getting longer and we always get compliments on it. Contrary to the old wives tale, I did not have a lot of hearburn while I was pregnant with you.

You LOVE bath time and are so content in the water.  We can't wait to take you to the pool this summer.

You are starting to drool a lot more. (possibly teething??!)

I created the picture collage above so we could see how much you have grown in the last four months!
You have brought us SO much joy.
Our lives have been forever changed and immensely blessed...all because of YOU!

Crazy Commute and Wonderful Walks

The last two days of going into the office has been exhausting!
I forgot how long the comnute is (an hour and 15mins, one way) and how horrible the traffic is.

Thank goodness it's back to working at home tomorrow.

I missed Matthew all day.
I texted the sitter and she sent me pictures through out the day.
It made the day more bearable once I saw his cute little face!

When I got home from work, I just smoothered him with kisses....then we ate dinner.

After dinner, we went out for a family walk.  The weather was absolutely gorgeous and I was just happy to be with my boys.

Here we are before the walk.

And here we are 10 mins into it.
Matthew's been drooling a lot so the bib is to catch it all! He may be teething soon!

I love family walks together!

Cuteness Overload

We took Matthew to Tar.get to get his three month pictures a few weeks ago and I just got them back over the weekend.

Warning - you will fall in love with all this cuteness!

I find that the chunkier he gets, the more I want to eat him up!
I have to go into the office today and tomorrow and it's going to be soooo hard to leave this little chunkster all day!  I know he's in good hands with the sitter (and Steve will be working from home), but I will miss not being able to take a break out of my day to kiss all his chunkiness.

Abbey

My (niece) Abbey is such a joy to have around.
We still have her on the weekends (every other weekend). She is getting bigger.
Sassy as ever.

Abbey loves coming over to our house and spending time with us.
She loves Matthew and gives him lots of kisses.
She makes us laugh with some of the things she says.

Abbey is 7 yrs old (going on 16).
We are helping her with the attitude (problem).
Sometimes I don't know what to do with her (attitude).
We are trying to teach her to be grateful for what she has.
It's hard to make children understand the simple things in life.
But we keep trying.

At the end of the day, we love her to pieces.  She is a big part of our family.
I want her to know that she is loved.
But most important, that she is a child of God.
That her Heavenly Father loves her (attitude and all)!

Chick O Stick

Look what my sweet hubby got me!

How many of you remember this candy?
Oh so good...crunchy peanut butter and toasted coconut!
I use to eat this when I was a kid.
Back in the day when it was safe to walk to the store by yourself and buy candy.

If you've never had it, you have to try it (that's if you like peanut butter and toasted coconut)!
It kind of sorta taste like butter finger candy, but with toasted coconut.
I lurve me some chick O stick!

What's your favorite childhood candy??

A Good Weekend of NOT Running Around Like Crazy

We had a good, lowkey weekend.
Friday night I went to a 'stamp camp' at my friend's house who is a Stampin Up demonstrator.  We made a flower bag, flower tea candle holder and a graduation card.  I invited my neighbor and we had a good time hanging out.  The little flower bag is my favorite but it took forever!

While I was at stamp camp, Steve took Abbey to our neighborhood movie night on the lawn.  One of the neighbors has a projector and they play movies on the side of their house.  The movie that night was Tangled.  I heard they had a good turn out so it sounds like movie night on the lawn may be a regular thing this summer.  I hope so!

On Saturday, Matthew and I slept in a bit while Steve took Abbey to the Home De.pot kids workshop.  I was planning on cleaning up around the house, but I didn't get to it.  I wanted to go strawberry picking, but I didn't get to that either!  I actually didn't leave the house until around 2:30 pm so I just ran errands with Abbey and Matthew while Steve stained the deck.  Saturday night, we all went to the playground. Matthew loved the swing.  He was so content!

Matthew after his bath.

It was nice to be home (Winchester) and not running around all over town (No.VA). I could have easily made plans to go to do a bazillion activities, but sometimes it's nice to just see what the day (or weekend) has to offer. I love lowkey weekends.

My Little Republican

I bought this little bow tie on Etsy for Matthew and he wore it to church last week.
He looked absolutely adorable in it!

One of my friends said he looked like a Republican.
How cute! He gets his momma's vote, that's for sure!
Steve calls the bow tie a drool catcher. Ha!

This is my absolute FAVORITE picture of Matthew!
Love that look on his face!

Happy Friday!!

AC Broken, Cold Stone Fix

Our main level AC stopped working on Monday evening.
Not fun at all! Especially since it's been 95+ degrees here.
I don't do hot and humid very well (just ask my husband).

We went to Cold Stone Creamery to 'cool down' a bit.

Normally, we don't frequent the 'over priced' ice cream places, but on this particular hot and humid day, it was worth the splurge.  The last time we were here was when I was pregnant and on the gestational diabetes diet so I only had a bite of Steve's icecream.

This time I got my own! I ordered the german chocolate cake-like icecream.  Yummy!

Thankfully the AC guy came out today and $700 later, we have air on the main level.
Funny story, after waiting almost all day for the guy (because they can never give you a specific time as to when they will be here), Steve called the company and told them I had to leave around 4:00 pm.  When the guy showed up around 3:30 pm and did the diagnostic check on the AC, I asked him how long it would take to fix (because I still had to shower and get ready to leave).  He said he knew I had to leave by 4 pm, but (and I quote) "Uh, You don't look like you're ready to leave the house."  I totally laughed and agreed with him!

One of the perks of working from home, I don't have to "look" ready to leave the house everyday.
