Well Suited

We went to the temple this morning and Steve wore one of his new suits. In the spirit of 'husband tag,' I wanted to show off just how handsome he is. We've been married 8 1/2 years and Steve has not been in a suite since our wedding day! He did purchase a tuxedo for the wedding, but he's not quite the same size he was 8 1/2 years ago. And he's never really NEEDED a suit, but since his brother is getting married in December, it was time to bite the bullet and just buy a suite. In this case, he bought two, since he could save $$ if he purchased two. I snapped these pictures as we were leaving the temple this morning.

Just as handsome as the day I married him. Notice I didn't say the day I 'met' him. I wasn't too fond of him when I first met him. I just thought he was the annoying kid who loved to argue with the seminary teacher!

This was probably the last time Steve was in a suit, on his mission (1997 - 1999)!! And he had A LOT more hair back then. He would have just as much hair now if he didn't shave it every week!

Update or Blacklisted

I was visiting with a friend today and she threaten to take me off of her 'blog' list since I haven't updated in about a month! I know, I have no excuse since she has four kids AND works full time! So, I decided to update it so I won't be blacklisted from her list.

Work has been quite busy the last couple of weeks. And I'm not sure how much more I can take it, but there's this thing called the 'mortgage' that is preventing me from quitting. Steve has been taking the grunt of my daily job complaints. Work is just all consuming and taking it's toll, but until something better comes along or I have a mental breakdown, all I can do is stick it out (and pray the latter doesn't happen first).

Pumpkin Patch

Another of my favorite Fall activities is the Pumpkin Patch! Abbey and I went with my sister and her family to the Burke Nursery in Burke, VA for the pumpkin patch. It's been about five or six years since I've been back here! It was great to spend time with my nieces and nephews, and my sister and her hubby, of course.

Where's the Beef??

At the slaughter house! Steve has decided that we need more meat (like we eat so much of it now)! So, he decided to go in with some friends and buy two cows from a member in our ward at church. The cows are known as #20 and #21. We will end up with about 175 lbs. of meat! Steve is ecstatic and can't wait to get all his meat in three weeks. Anyone want to come over for dinner?? Steaks for everyone!

Apple Picking

I love this time of year when the weather is cooler and the leaves are starting to change color and the apple blossoms are now full of apples! We went apple picking at Marker Miller Orchard in Winchester. The weather was absolutely perfect for the Apple Festival. Abbey had a blast picking the 'big' apples. So many different types of apples, how do you choose?? Well, I know for sure I wanted Granny Smith apples and Golden Delicious. Abbey's mom wanted us to pick 6 bags of Fuji apples for her coworkers! As it turns out, the Fuji apples were the best tasting (in my opinion).

Fruits of our labor!

Big 'Ol Pumpkin!

Abbey got her face painted!
There were pumpkins too, but we will be going to the pumpkin patch soon!

NKOTB - Hangin' Tough!

Okay, call me cheesy, but I know I'm not the only loyal NKOTB fan. So, when they came to town at the Verizon center, I HAD to go see them! I was trying to get good tickets for the longest time and at the last minute, my friend's brother was able to get us box seats! It was an amazing concert! Brought back so many memories of my early teen years. I screamed and dance so much and thought I was 13 again! I couldn't stop recapturing the concert for Steve and he had to endure the NKOTB 'Greatest Hits' for the weeks preceeding it too!

Remember the Hangin' Tough album??!!

My friend Ameeta, from High School! She just moved to D.C. so I was able to check out her new apartment in Dupont Circle. We went to dinner and then went to the concert. It was a lot of walking in one day, but definitely worth it!

My favorite New Kid, Jordan Knight. (I think he was pointing at me when he was singing this).
