I am always amazed at how God's timing is SO perfect.
That's why it's important to have faith in HIS timing.
Since my last post, we have truly been blessed.
No, I am not pregnant.
But we are one (BIG) step closer to affording one cycle of IVF (when the time is right).
One step closer to giving Matthew a sibling(s).
I am truly blessed. There are no words. Blessed.

Cause sometimes, all you have left is prayer
This picture just melts my heart :)
I think it's time for someone to have a sibling. Oh, if only it were that easy!
I wish my body wasn't broken. I want more than anything to make Matthew a big brother. Sometimes that desire to procreate again consumes me and the reminder that infertility can sometimes knock you off your rocker!
When we say family prayers together with Matthew, we pray for a baby brother or baby sister or both! 'Cause sometimes, all you have left to keep moving forward is prayer.
For the here and now, I have a handsome little boy who I adore more than anything in the world. He is the sunshine in my soul. He reminds me that blessings do come when we have faith.
And that's good enough.

Green Thumbs Up
Matthew loves being outside tending to his garden. He's like his dad in that he loves to play in the dirt, but he's like his momma in that when it comes to worms he says, 'Ewww...orm (worm)....gusting (disgusting)'. See last picture. Not sure why he plugs his nose when he see's them, but it's cute. I think I may have a little green thumb in the making!
We planted, lettuce, green beans, cucumbers, thai chili peppers, strawberries and TONS of tomatoes. (Hubby thinks we're going to can them and make sauce, etc. We'll see how that turns out.) I wish we had more room to plant more veggies! Nothing like growing your own fresh food. We have two neighbors who are also planting gardens (about the same size) so I'm sure we will be sharing our bounty with everyone.
What's in your garden??

Mom's Weekend
My weekend started off with these deliciousness... a delivery of
Chocolate covered strawberries AND cherries from the two guys in my life.
Saturday morning at the circus with my pumpkin and cousin Abbey. Matthew's first time and he loved it! He is still talking about it!
We got to ride an elephant! It was a very quick ride, but still very fun to do. I've always wanted to ride an elephant so now I can cross that off my bucket list.
Our family picture on Mother's Day. It was SO hard to get that little monkey to sit still!
He feel asleep on the way to church (holding the azaleas he picked from our front yard).
What a blessing it is to be a mom to this little boy. I love being a mom. It's something that I've always wanted to be when I grew up. And while my little boy is growing up (a little too fast), I don't want to miss one minute of his childhood. He is my life. I'm so happy that he calls me mamma!
I love comparing pictures thru the years. Seems like yesterday he was just so tiny (3 months old on my first mother's day). Love him to pieces!

I Wonder...
(Matthew at 3 wks in 2011)
This sweet child of mine is my world. He has a special spirit about him. I often stroke his hair as he is sleeping and wonder why it took him so long to come to this world and join our family.
I wonder what he would say if he could talk to us and tell us how it was like in the spirit world to be so close to Heavenly Father. That veil is still thin and fresh in his mind.
I wonder if he knows just how much he is loved!
I wonder if he knows that I pray for him every single night.
I wonder if he already knows his purpose here on earth (besides bringing us SO much joy).
I wonder if he knows whether or not he will have siblings or be an only child.
I wonder what he will be like as a teenager, missionary, husband, father (I try not to think about it too much because I don't want him to grow up too fast!).
I wonder if he knows that he makes my heart grow bigger and want to explode with so much love.
Motherhood is indeed the hardest job. I will never forget the journey it took for me to get here. I look at my son every day and know that he was worth the biggest trial of my faith.
I know there are many women out there who are still on that journey. Don't give up. Keep fighting. Keep believing. And while Mother's Day is hard to bare, know that you are not alone. Heavenly Father has a plan for all of us. Seek comfort in his love.
I hope that all the mother's, future mother's, and mother figures all know that they are loved!
Happy Mother's Day!
