Matthew's Moments

 Matthew is starting to talk more and sometimes says the funniest things.  Aside from having a camcorder on all the time (cause we haven't turned that thing on in months!), I decided I would start documenting it on the blog so I have a record of it (and maybe someday compile a book for him). 

So, I am starting a series on the blog dedicated to his funnies called 'Matthew's Moments'.

And what's a post without a picture?!

(Don't judge! We don't give him DC all the time).

Funny for this Friday:

- Every morning, after we brush our teeth, I weigh myself on the scale and I always say, 'ugh, mommy doesnt like that number'.  Then it's Matthew's turn to get on the scale (because he loves to do everything we do).  So this morning, after I weighed myself, I said, 'mommy likes that number' (being sick always make you lose 1 or 2 lbs).  After I weighed Matthew, he got off and said, 'not like number, not like number' (he weighs 28 lbs). 

I busted out laughing!

Pick Your Own....

 Strawberries!
We ventured out a few weeks ago in the hot blazing sun to pick some strawberries.

 With the sun beating down on him, this little guy marched on and thru the rows of red deliciousness.

I had to keep him from trying to walk over the rows and squish the berries!

Searching for the big strawberries.  There weren't very many big ones, but they were all very sweet! We didn't pick a whole lot, just enough to enjoy the taste of summer.

Matthew was holding on to his little bucket and did not want to turn it over to get weighed so we could pay for it.  He finally loosened his grip, but he did not take his eyes off those berries until they were put in a bag and handed back to him.  Then he proceeded to drag the bag on the gravel road as we walked to the car! 

I love making memories with my little guy!

Mommy Princess

 

 

Celebrating 13 years of wedded bliss and an Eternity to go!

 

As I was typing up this post, Matthew came up and saw this picture and I asked him who is it?  He said, 'mommy and daddy'. 

 

Then he said 'mommy princess'. 

Totally melted my heart!!

35 years ago on this day...

this cute little baby boy was born!

Happy birthday to my  love!

I showed these pictures to Matthew and asked him 'Who's that baby?'

He excitedly responded with 'Me!'

I told him that it was daddy, but he insisted, and getting visibly upset with me, that the baby was 'Mattew'

(He still doesn't believe me that it's daddy. ha!)

Daddy Day 2013

This guy here is the best daddy! 

Matthew made a little footprint poem at preschool for daddy.

He was so proud of it and excited to give it to his daddy.

And donut holes for breakfast in bed :)

I am lucky to have such a great partner in raising this little boy. 

Matthew is luckier to have him as his daddy.  He has so much to learn from this great man.  I look forward to the years ahead where I watch these two bond and share special father son moments. 

Love them SO much!

One Step Closer

I am always amazed at how God's timing is SO perfect. 

That's why it's important to have faith in HIS timing. 

Since  my last post, we have truly been blessed.

No, I am not pregnant.

But we are one (BIG) step closer to affording one cycle of IVF (when the time is right).

One step closer to giving Matthew a sibling(s). 

I am truly blessed.  There are no words.  Blessed.
