The Wall's Journey
As they celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary, Mandy and Rob of Loudoun County, Virginia, await the birth of their first child. A far cry from how they spent their first anniversary - in a hospital room after a spontaneous dive into deceptively shallow water left Rob paralyzed from the shoulders down.
Due to the accident, Rob lost not only the use of his arms and legs, but also his ability to conceive a child naturally. Through the help of Shady Grove Fertility and the amazing Leesburg team, the couple successfully conceived via in vitro fertilization (IVF) earlier this year, and their child is due around Christmas time.
