37 Weeks

I know these pregnancy postings may be boring, but this blog is also used as a life journal for our family.  It's amazing how many times I've had to go back to my blog to look up an event or date.  I'm so glad I have a record of our family.

Here we are, 37 weeks today!!  Wow!

It always seems like time flies by during the pregnancy and then toward the end, it just slows down!  At least that what it feels like because at this point, you just want the baby to come out!

We have a C-section scheduled for Aug 22nd (which will be 39 weeks).  I begged to have it sooner, but the dr said there was no medical reason to do it sooner.  In my (non-medical) opinion, the feeling of someone stabbing my hands over and over is reason enough to get baby out! Or just the overall uncomfortable feeling toward the end of the pregnancy.  I know, I know, it could be worst.  I try not to complain too much and just pray that baby will be healthy and happy.  I would rather be the one in pain than have my baby in pain.

We had measurements done last week and Baby Kate is now 6 lbs 8 ounces.

Still waiting to put the finishing touches on baby's nursery.  Matthew loves climbing into her crib and pretend he's a baby.  I'm hoping he won't climb in there when she's in it!

Only two more weeks untill baby comes!  I'm hoping she will come sooner!

35 Weeks

35 weeks 4 days.
(Matthew came early at this time!)

At the last check up two weeks ago she was 5 lbs 6 ounces.

I've gained 15 lbs!  (With Matthew I only gained 10 lbs the whole pregnancy).

Carpal tunnel is worst, but I keep telling my self it'll be over very soon.  I think we will schedule a C-section for 38 weeks.  Will talk to the OB next week.

Here's a 3D picture of baby girl.  Looks like she's showing off her muscles.
The last few dr appts we've had (twice a week), she's been shy and not letting us see her face.  I got to see her chubby little face today.

Can't wait to meet her in 3 more weeks (or sooner)!

Showers of Love

Over the 4th of July weekend, some of my friends and family threw me an amazing baby shower.  Baby Kate and I felt SO loved!  It was all amazing.  I am truly blessed with great friends and family in my life.
Every little detailed was done with loved!

The food was so yummy!!

Amazing friends and family who gathered to shower us with love.

Love these lovely ladies from church who were my youth leaders growing up.  I admire them and am so grateful they left such an impression in my life at such a young age.

My sister (on the right next to me) and cousins.

My heart is so full!  I am so amazed at the love and support that everyone has shown us.  Baby Kate feels the love too.  She will have lots of people who are anxiously awaiting her arrival so they can love on her!

Maternity Pics - July 2014

We did maternity family pics earlier this month (I was 31 weeks).  It took a lot of patience and a little bribery to get a 3 year old to cooperate.  But it was fun and turned out fabulous!

My absolute FAVORITE picture!!

33 Weeks

Same dress, different necklace from my 30 week pics

Pregnancy carpal tunnel has kicked in full force!  It doesn't help that I work on the computer all day too.  I wear the wrist bands at night time, and sometimes it helps and sometimes it doesn't.  The pain gets really bad at night time that I wake up in a lot of pain.

Taking more insulin at meal times. But at least I still get to eat yummy fruits.

Nursery is still coming along.  I ordered curtains, twice, from overstock and both times I've been sent at least one wrong panel.  The new ones are suppose to arrive tomorrow.

Still need to pack, or at least make a list, of things for the hospital bag.

Debating if I should do a C-section again or try VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean).  I'm scared to try and push baby out of my hoo-ha!  I have this fear of baby getting stuck!

Just 5 more weeks to go!

Da 4th

Our fourth of July was pretty low key.  We just did things around the house and then went to a friend's for a cook out.  We watched fire works from the cul de sac.  The weather was just perfect!

How grateful I am for the freedoms that we have in this country.  Especially grateful for the men and women who serve our country and the sacrifices they and their families make so we can have the freedoms we do.
God Bless America!!

Cherries 2.0

This past weekend we went back for round 2 of cherry picking!  How could we not?  There were still plenty to be picked!  It was much hotter and thankfully Steve brought a folding chair for me to 'rest' so I wouldn't be standing for too long.

After cherry picking, we headed to Lake Cacapon (in W.VA).  Matthew has been begging to go to the beach and this was as close as we were going to get to the 'beach'.  It's only about 45 minutes from  us, versus the 4 hours to the closes beach!

Matthew was loving every minute of it!  He enjoyed playing in the sand and building sand castles.  Initially, he had no interest in getting in the water, but eventually made his way in and had a blast!

My nieces came along and we all had a great time.
Definitely will be returning to the Lake!

I'm glad we were able to have this little outing with Matthew before baby arrives.  I want to spend as much time with him as possible before he becomes big brother and will no longer be the only one needing all our attention!

Love my family!
