Third Birthday Festivities

Posting a few weeks late, but better late than never, right?

Matthew had a litlte Paw Patrol birthday party on Feb 14th.  We kept it simple with his cousins and a few friends.  Pizza and cupcakes.  Simple.

Thanks to Nick Jr online for all the FREE printables!
Cupcake toppers, popcorn holders, and thank you tags.  Simple.

Matthew had a lot of fun playing and opening presents (of course). He was happy to celebrate his special day with family and friends.

And his little friend Anna from Nursery!  She is such a doll.
(If you follow me on FB or IG, you may have seen lots of pics of these two together on Sundays).

The next day, we went to an indoor water park with his cousins. Matthew lasted an hour and he was done.  Which is plenty of water time for the little ones.  The big cousins lasted a few hours and everyone had fun.  It didn't take long for him to fall asleep in the car!

I think Matthew enjoyed his birthday weekend.  I could see how happy he was playing with his cousins and just having a great time.

Simple birthday parties are the way to go!

12 wk Scan

I had my 12 week NT scan on Tuesday.  I was SO happy to see baby moving around!  The dr said everything looks good and baby is growing on track.

I expressed my concern/fear of having another subchorionic hemorrhage and he said that I am almost out of the first trimester so I should not worry.  (I guess I should stay off the internet because I keep reading horror stories about them!).

I will go back to see the Perinatologist again in three weeks and then every other week from then on.  That's a lot of appts, but every chance I get to see baby puts my mind at ease.

I am so grateful for each passing day that baby is growing!

Happy 3rd!

My baby boy is 3 and it blows my mind how much he has grown. I look at him and just marvel at the little boy in front of me.  He talks so much and comes up with the funniest things sometimes.

Matthew is full of imagination.  He loves playing super heroes and certainly keeps us on our toes.  We play with him to try and tire him out but it's usually mommy and daddy that are exhausted by time it's HIS bedtime.  I love when he puts up his little finger and says, 'I have an idea!'

Matthew is so loving and certainly knows how to melt mommy's heart.  I cherish those moments when, out of the blue, he tells me he loves me.  Especially when he says, 'I love you the whole wide world mommy!'  That sweet little voice to match his sweet little face.

It is so sweet to hear Matthew say prayers.  He thanks Heavenly Father for 'mommy, daddy and Matthew' and will occasionally throw in there, 'thank you for my movies and t.v.'

At the end of each day, I usually ask Matthew what his favorite part of the day was. It's usually spending time with mommy, his cousins, or playing superheroes.  Then he will ask us what our favorite parts of the day were.  And no one can have the same favorite part!

I adore my baby boy and I do miss him every minute I'm not with him.  He has been such a huge blessing in my life.  With every passing day, I know he is getting bigger and wiser.  I look forward to many more happy moments with my little guy.

Happy birthday big guy.  Mommy and Daddy love you SO much!

Over it!

I am so over this winter weather!
We went to bed Wednesday night and woke up to about 15" of snow!

Matthew looked outside when he woke up and exclaimed, 'It's Christmas again!"

And this is a pic of my gazebo on my deck.  I had been telling my husband, since Fall, that we he needed to take down the cover so it wouldn't collapse.  Well, that thing has gone thru enough winter storms this season and finally caved in!

Matthew has really utilized his little snow suit this season. This is the third, or fourth or maybe fifth snow storm??  I can't keep track anymore!

Ready for Spring!!

Happy Valentine's day to all you lovers out there!  We will be celebrating a 3yr old's birthday (just a few days early).  What better way to spend it than with the love's of my life?!

A long 2 Week Wait - 11 Weeks

After two weeks of waiting since my last ultrasound (when I had the miscarriage scare), I was able to go in and see the baby's heartbeat again.

What a relief!! Baby is still kicking away in there. Thank you God!!

I go back next week to see the Perinatologist for the 12 week NT scan!

Meanwhile, back on the home front....we are in party planning mode over here. Someone is turning 3 and having a Paw Patrol party on Friday!  AND a trip to the indoor water park on Saturday!

Now only if Steve and I can get over our sicknesses (and keep Matthew from getting sick)!!

Crazy busy here!!

I Need A Leash (and a Diet Coke!)

Don't let that cute face fool you!
This little guy got up at 6 AM this morning wanting pancakes.  I told him it was still dark outside so he had to go back to sleep until the sun came out.  He layed next to me for the next hour rolling around and kept asking me if the sun was out yet.

I finally caved at 6:45 am and gave him the iPad while I got up and got ready.

My baby wants pancakes, well, my baby will get pancakes!

Off to McDonald's we went!  He ate two and half pieces!  Then he told me his belly hurt. Ha.

I had a little bit of time before I had to drop him off at daycare so we headed to CVS where I had to get some make up (because I'm cheap and don't spend money on expensive brands).

As I was checking out, Matthew decides to run away from my side and proceeds to run out of the store!!  I ran after him and dragged him back in. We had to have a very serious talk about how we don't ever run away from mommy.  (Sadly, this isn't the first time where he will take off on me!).  I swear I need a leash for him.

That was my excitement this morning, all before 8:00 am!

We are in party planning mode over here because my baby is turning 3 next week!  He is having a little party next weekend with his cousins and a few friends.  Paw Patrol Party!

Busy weekends ahead!

Chinese New Year Weekend

We had a fun and festive weekend celebrating the lunar new year.
Family time together the whole weekend.....doesn't get much better than that!

We also had a dinner and movie date night with some friends and attended a baby blessing on Sunday.  Busy weekend, but worth sharing in special moments with friends and families.

Looking forward to some down time, but this is a busy month for us!  A certain little boy is going to be turning 3 in few weeks.  Where does the time go?!!
