Arizona - Sedona and Meeting a Blogger Friend

I think my favorite part of the whole trip was visiting Sedona and doing the pink jeep tour!
It was absolutely amazing!
We had a great tour guide/driver and we laughed so hard we were close to peeing in our pants. (It didn't help that the jeep tour was a VERY bumpy ride!)

******
After our fun day in Sedona, I met up with a blogging friend, Jen from Do I Have to Be A DINK?

I have been following Jen's journey for a while so it was great to meet her in person.
She is beautiful!
I looked a mess because I had been out all day in the sun.
(My camera batter died so I had to use my cell phone).

It was awesome to put a face with a blog.

Jen's getting ready to go to NYC later this week for vacation.  If you have any suggestions for things to do in the big apple, please hop on over to her blog and let her know!

Arizona was fun and I will definitely be back!

Arizona - Phoenix and Scottsdale

My girl's weekend started out rough, spending six hours at the airport due to plane delays and getting re-routed, we landed in Phoenix 11 hours after being dropped off at the airport.

Fortunately, that was the only bad thing that happened the entire weekend.

It was a FABULOUS weekend!

We ate lots of really good Mexican food. I'm usually not a big fan of Mexican food, but Phoenix really impressed me.  I swear I could easily eat a breakfast burrito every morning if I lived there.

We had a spa day at the Val.ley Ho hotel.
An hour massage, followed by thirty minutes of foot reflexology (a.k.a footmassage).
Absolute heaven!
Soooo relaxing that I snored off to sleep.

We stayed at our friend's timeshare in Phoenix for the first two nights, then she booked us a suite at the Hyatt Regency in Scottsdale.  We spent the entire day hanging by the pool.  Again, very relaxing!

We did a lot of eating this weekend.  If you ever visit Scottsdale and in the mood for good Thai food,  you have to try Soi 4. (They also have a location in Oakland,CA).

Here's a picture of us eating sushi at 10:00 pm at Blue Wasabi.
(I can't remember the last time I ate dinner that late!)

Lots of laughter, food, friends and fond memories.
It was much needed.  It's nice to get away every once in a while with your girlfriends and laugh until your belly aches!

(More pictures to come from Sedona and meeting up with my awesome blogger friend).

Apple picking and Tiredness

We went apple picking on Saturday morning.  Abbey could not join us because she had oral surgery on Friday and was still a little swollen.  Poor thing, she had a molar extracted.  We missed her at the orchards.  We'll have to take her to the pumpkin patch soon.

My sister came out with her kids and my friend also came out with her family to join us.  It was a nice cool fall day. We picked Granny Smith apples, Fuji, and Nittany apples.  Yummy!

Nothing says Fall like apples and football right?  I was sporting my Redskins jersey, but they still lost the game!

My sister, Hanh, Me, Sina, and Josie

The kids (and the adults) all had a great time.  We then went back to my house and for some chili.  It's always fun to entertain family and friends.

After everyone left, I took a two and half hour nap.  Boy, I was so exhausted!  Steve took a nap at 3:30 pm and didn't get up until 8:00 am Sunday morning!  And after church today, I was still very tired and slept for two hours, woke up and watched the Redskins lose, went back to sleep for another three hours!  I don't know if it was the week that just caught up with me, but I couldn't remember the last time I was that exhausted!

Tomorrow is our third Beta test.  Please pray that the numbers will go up.

Weekend Round Up

What a busy, but fun weekend.  I took Abbey to the mall for the Kidz Club fall festival.  She made cute little crafts, painted a pumpkin, decorated a cookie, and peeled/sliced an apple.

Then I had to take Abbey home and rushed to meet up with my good friend Martha, who was in town from AZ for her 20 yr HS reunion!  We went to the same HS, but she graduated in 1989 and I graduated in 1996. I spent the whole weekend with her just hanging out!  One of our other good friends, Sina, who was in the same class as Martha, also joind us.  We had a ball.  It was a nice girl's weekend. We stayed up late, ate junk food, and just chatted into the night.

Enjoying Dim Sum together.  Yummy!

A little retail therapy at COACH outlet.

TGIF

My friends from Jai Lao Foundation were in town for the weekend. I met up with them for lunch.  I love these ladies and their passion to Jai Lao. We always have fun together.

Me, Noelle, La, April at Neisha Thai

I also met up with one of my Young Women leaders (church youth group when I was growning up) who is in town for her 25 year highschool reunion.  Betsy Lowe is one of the women who I admire deeply.  I remember as a youth how much I looked up to her and how much I wanted to be like her when I grew up. She is an amazing mother and wife. Her testimony and love of the gospel truly inspires me. And I still want to be like her when I grow up.

Betsy and me after dinner.

A Day Off

I took the day off to enjoy the long Labor Day weekend. It was a beautiful day. I slept in until 8:00 AM (yay for not getting up at 5 AM!). I met up with my old high school friend, Thi, who was in town visiting from Texas. We haven't seen each other in over 10 years! It was great to see her and meet her family.

Here we are in Landsdowne enjoying the beautiful weather.

And this is her cute baby girl....Olivia (7 months)!! Isn't she the cutest thing ever?

I could just eat her up! I love this picture with her little tongue sticking out. Love her!

After my exciting lunch, I went to the COACH outlet to check out their Labor Day sale. This cute little bag was just calling my name! And the best part was, the nice girl in line in front of me had an extra 20% off coupon that she gave to me. What a deal!
Following my retail therapy, I went and got a pedicure. I needed it bad too! The bottom of my feet are always dry and cracking. I love how it feels after a nice pedi. Okay, I hate the way my feet look so I debated whether or not to post this picture. For some reason, earlier this year, my right foot has been going through this 'phase' where it will swell up every once in a while. I can't even wear some of my shoes anymore because the right foot is too big! Anyways, here are my happy feet.

After all this fun, I went to pick up my niece Abbey for the weekend. She starts school next week so I wanted to do something fun with her before she heads back. We are going to take her to Hershey Park tomorrow! Fun filled weekend!

I love three day weekends! or in my case, four day weekends!
