Arizona - Sedona and Meeting a Blogger Friend

I think my favorite part of the whole trip was visiting Sedona and doing the pink jeep tour!
It was absolutely amazing!
We had a great tour guide/driver and we laughed so hard we were close to peeing in our pants. (It didn't help that the jeep tour was a VERY bumpy ride!)

******
After our fun day in Sedona, I met up with a blogging friend, Jen from Do I Have to Be A DINK?

I have been following Jen's journey for a while so it was great to meet her in person.
She is beautiful!
I looked a mess because I had been out all day in the sun.
(My camera batter died so I had to use my cell phone).

It was awesome to put a face with a blog.

Jen's getting ready to go to NYC later this week for vacation.  If you have any suggestions for things to do in the big apple, please hop on over to her blog and let her know!

Arizona was fun and I will definitely be back!

Arizona - Phoenix and Scottsdale

My girl's weekend started out rough, spending six hours at the airport due to plane delays and getting re-routed, we landed in Phoenix 11 hours after being dropped off at the airport.

Fortunately, that was the only bad thing that happened the entire weekend.

It was a FABULOUS weekend!

We ate lots of really good Mexican food. I'm usually not a big fan of Mexican food, but Phoenix really impressed me.  I swear I could easily eat a breakfast burrito every morning if I lived there.

We had a spa day at the Val.ley Ho hotel.
An hour massage, followed by thirty minutes of foot reflexology (a.k.a footmassage).
Absolute heaven!
Soooo relaxing that I snored off to sleep.

We stayed at our friend's timeshare in Phoenix for the first two nights, then she booked us a suite at the Hyatt Regency in Scottsdale.  We spent the entire day hanging by the pool.  Again, very relaxing!

We did a lot of eating this weekend.  If you ever visit Scottsdale and in the mood for good Thai food,  you have to try Soi 4. (They also have a location in Oakland,CA).

Here's a picture of us eating sushi at 10:00 pm at Blue Wasabi.
(I can't remember the last time I ate dinner that late!)

Lots of laughter, food, friends and fond memories.
It was much needed.  It's nice to get away every once in a while with your girlfriends and laugh until your belly aches!

(More pictures to come from Sedona and meeting up with my awesome blogger friend).

Hair Cut

Matthew needed a hair cut, badly!
I attempted.
Do you know how hard it is to cut a squirmy 7month old's hair?
It was all in his eyes. (Wish I had taken a before picture).

Steve held him while I snipped away.
He was tired (Matthew, not Steve) so he just was not in the mood.
I did the best I could, then when he fell asleep (which didn't take long) I was able to keep snipping away.

Since he's had his first haircut, he looks like such a big boy!
My baby is growing up.

I am leaving tomorrow to go to Arizona for a girl's weekend.  I thought about bringing Matthew, but it probably wouldn't be much of a girls weekend with a baby.  This will be my second time leaving Matthew, but I know he's in good hands.  I'll miss him like crazy!

And while I'm in AZ, I'm going to meet up with a blogging friend! I've met so many wonderful people through this blog and I use it to document all of Matthew's milestones (especially since I have yet to start on his scrapbook!).  Thank you to all who are still reading and following our journey (if there's anyone left).

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Splish Splash...

Matthew's taking a bath!

Bathtime is getting easier because Matthew can sit up on his own more.
He LOVES bath time.

I love hearing Steve play rub the tummy with him.
He's starting to reach for things so we'll be adding some bath toys for him.

All clean and ready for his last feeding before bedtime.

I love the smell of fresh, clean baby.

Nah, nah...Boo, boo!

Matthew has discovered a new talent...
Sticking out his tongue!

He does it A LOT now.
And he likes to blow rasberries.
Not fun when it's feeding time and he blows baby food everywhere.

But he's still a cutie.

Nah, Nah..Boo, Boo!

Matthew is 7 Months

7 Months??!!

You are growing!
Pretty soon the bear will be sitting on your lap.

You are still rolling all over and sitting up on your own (only for a short period).
You are reaching for things and whatever you get your hands on goes in your mouth.
Still drooling, but still no teeth yet.

You've started eating solids.
So far you've tried peas, greenbeans, carrots, squash and cereal.
Squash seems to be your favorite.
Next up will be fruits!

We just started you on formula tonight and you gulped it down (maybe because you were starving!).
We are planning to feed you momma's milk (that's been frozen) in the morning and at night, but formula through out the day.

You are still sleeping through the night.
Whenever you wake up from sleeping, you entertain yourself in your crib/pack n play.
Mommy LOVES cuddling with you in the morning.

You love playing in your exersaucer and your swing.

You are in size 3 diapers and wearing size 6-9 months clothes.
Mommy loves buying you hats and making bow ties for you.

You are always smiling and your face lights up when daddy comes home.
We love you to the moon and back pumpkin!

Daddy Time

Matthew loves his daddy.
His face lights up when daddy comes home from work.
They play together,
they eat together,
they sleep together,
they do NOT poop together (thank goodness!).

Some people are actually saying Matthew is starting to look like his daddy.

I love my boys.
